Hey everyone, Cathy will be performing for Virginia Opera on Thursday, July 1st "An Evening of Italian Opera". She'll be performing with 3 fabulous Opera singers from across the nation. Hope to see you there, Ciao!

Cathy just finished recording her latest project: Broadway My Baby - A Collection of Broadway Songs and Lullabies. A portion of all proceeds will go to the March of Dimes foundation for Preemie research. She dedicates this album to her two beautiful babies, Grayson, the light of her life and his twin sister Lola, who is singing and dancing above us.

Cathy Motley-Fitch: Performer, Voice Teacher and Coach, Music Director specializing in....

Audition Preperation: Whether for Professional or College auditions I am aware of current trends and required repertoire within the industry. I will prepare you to feel confident and fully prepared for your next audition.

Vocal Technique: I teach classical skills as well as proper belt technique. I believe a classical foundation ensures longevity and a healthy voice.

Building Your Repertoire And Audition Book: With my large collection of repertoire I will help you find songs best suited to your vocal and physical type. Being able to identify one's "type" is extremely important before entering into an audition. I have a large collection of classical, broadway, pop and country music and can help you find that “perfect” song. I am aware of the best places to find music online or in the area. I have many excellent arrangers with fast turn around service if you need a special arrangement.

Recording Studio Preparation: Many of my students have asked to make a demo CD. I will help you choose the best music to show off your vocal skills and show you how to make the best use of your time in the studio. We also focus on basic microphone technique.

Positive Environment: I believe that confidence is key and there is a place for anyone in this field who has the desire to learn and excel. I believe you learn from constructive criticism and positive feedback. The music industry can be incredibly tough. Unfortunately there is often more rejection than acceptance and we must be secure enough in our selves and our skill to know our time will come. I believe in treating each audition as a "mini" concert. Thus we always come fully prepared and leave knowing we did our best.
